About Me

My name is Octayvia Johnson and I am currently a senior at the University of Mary Washington. I am a Business Marketing major and plan to graduate in the spring of 2022 with a bachelor’s degree. I like to spend my free time with my family, napping, using my artistic talents and coaching youth basketball.

Racecar

Racing cars has been in my family for generations. My grandfather and his cousins passed down the love to their children and today dozens of my cousins still enjoy racing. My father is currently apart of the group Southern Outlaw Top Sportsman and races from Maryland to North Carolina. From April to November you can catch the Johnson Racing Crew and affiliates at a race every weekend.

Coaching Basketball

For most of my middle to high school years I played basketball for Stafford County. I would play in their youth program in the fall and join in their summer camp. There, I was introduced to the idea of coaching and in the fall of 2018 my cousin Avery convinced me to coach. Her along with 7 other girls made up the Hawks. I had a wonderful time coaching and decided to continue the following year. Unfortunately there was not a 3rd season due to covid.
